Dead bird, Iceland.

A black, viscous slick. It spreads over the water like a shadow. It does not cry out, yet it suffocates. It is a shapeless substance, heavy with consequences. A dark flow born from human excess. On the shores, seaweed clogs, birds struggle. Life freezes in an opaque nightmare, the imprint of our way of producing and extracting without restraint. What can be done with this darkness? It is the memory of mistakes, and perhaps of awakening.
