The jug embodies antiquity. It carries within it the memory of ancient gestures, and its shape invites the hand. Here, the jug becomes an illusion. This familiar container proves incapable of containing. A familiar shape that confronts us with what eludes us, with no promise of fulfillment.
La cruche incarne l’Antiquité. Elle porte en elle la mémoire des gestes anciens, et sa forme invite la main. Ici, la cruche devient une illusion. Ce contenant familier, se révèle incapable de contenir. Une forme familière, qui nous confronte à ce qui nous échappe, sans promesse de remplir.
