Practical, a staircase is a structure designed to rise, connecting different worlds, floors, heights. Each step is a stride, a stage in a vertical journey. Graphic in nature, it offers a play of lines and shadows, a repetitive pattern that catches the eye with its regular, notched effect. Whether simple or ornate, it is an architectural object, both functional and poetic, that embodies progression.
